The Law Office of Jennifer Guimond-Quigley is pleased to announce its newest associate attorney, Beth Heffernan. With substantial roles in both legal and corporate settings, Beth brings a wealth of experience to the firm.
Prior to entering the field of family law, Beth specialized in business law and corporate taxation. Her previous roles included vice president and general counsel of a sports consulting organization in Chicago; tax manager at Deloitte Tax LLP; and associate at KPMG LLP. During her tenure with KPMG, Beth worked abroad in the firm’s Sao Paulo, Brazil office, advising multinational clients on inbound and outbound tax planning strategies.
Beth received her bachelor’s degree in communications, cum laude, from Arizona State University and earned her juris doctor and masters of law in taxation from the John Marshall Law School. While in law school, she interned at the Office of Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service and studied comparative constitutional law and international trade law at the University of Nairobi, College of Law in Kenya.
Beth was named a Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers Magazine in 2015 and 2017, a designation reserved for the top 2.5% of all Illinois attorneys under the age of 40. She was also named an Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers in 2017.
