OUR APPROACH TO FAMILY LITIGATION

In all contested matters affecting families, we utilize a collaborative and respectful approach as we find it not only sets a more positive tone for the case, but offers the best chance for settlement. It is our experience that parties who can settle their case themselves have a better chance of staying out of court in the long term, which is always in the family’s best interest.

Because divorcing and separating parents must continue to co-parent long after their case has ended, preserving civility and cooperation between the parties, when possible, is a priority. Therefore, we always strive to facilitate open communication between the parties. We understand that in some cases, parties cannot interact in a healthy way (for a variety of reasons including mental health issues and domestic violence) and in that event, we will zealously advocate for our client to obtain the best possible outcome.

OUR APPROACH TO ESTATE PLANNING

We offer customized estate plans that take into account each client’s unique set of circumstances and objectives. We start each representation by getting to know the clients well and offering several options for them to choose from. We then work with the clients to develop the details in their plan. Finally, we never sign the plan until the clients have had an opportunity to review the plan with the attorney and confirm that the details are understood and reflect their exact wishes.
